I have realized that a HAPPY mama is most important for the children and that everything in life happens for a reason in Divine timing

Morning Routine

I share 50% custody of my 4 children with my ex husband. When I have the kids, our morning routine can be a little chaotic: getting 4 kids dressed, cleaned up, fed, backpacks and lunches packed and out the door. On mornings when I don’t have the kids, I am at the gym first thing in the morning as I feel it boosts my productivity for the day.

Best Productivity Hack

The instant pot is my absolute savior for quick, easy, healthy meals – even if you forgot to take the meat out of the freezer. On hot days when you don’t want to use the oven, it’s so perfect.
Planet boxes for school lunches are game changers. No more looking for Tupperware containers and they are quick and easy to fill. I used to loath making lunches, but somehow they are quick and painless with planet boxes.

What’s Something You Want for Your Kids (That You Didn’t Always Experience)?

What I want for my kids is to experience a mom who is always there to support and love on them. I grew up without my biological mother present in my life and I always craved that motherly presence. I want my kids to know how much they are loved always and in all ways, this mama isn’t going anywhere!

What Has Been Your Biggest Failure (Turned Lesson)?

My biggest perceived failure was separating from my now ex husband. I was always told that the happiest couples are the ones who stay together – for the kids to have the best life. I felt like a failure to my children. Through this experience, I have learned so much though and have realized that a HAPPY mama is most important for the children and that everything in life happens for a reason in Divine timing. So I no longer consider it a failure but rather a life lesson that has been helping me to grow and bloom.

What’s One Thing You Would Never Change About Yourself?

As my journey here on earth evolves and grows, I do too. And so, there isn’t one thing I would want to change. Everything in my life was meant to unfold just as it has and I wouldn’t be who I am today without all of my abundant life lessons. So in that way, I wouldn’t change a thing. However, I’m creeping up to 40 years old and would love to erase some of my heavy crease lines in my face now- haha!

Ten Minute Tip

The best way to regulate your nervous system in a pinch is box breathing. If you are stressed, angry, anxious, frustrated, worried… find a quiet space (like a locked bathroom if you have kids lol) and breathe in through your nose for 4 seconds, hold at the top for 4 seconds, breathe out through your nose for 4 seconds and then hold at the bottom for 4 seconds. Repeat as many rounds of these as needed until you feel your system regulate.
